Andrew’s Climb Story

As a Christian, it was the desire of my heart to raise money and to put my loving arms around the orphaned children in Kenya, who so desperately need our love. The Nasio trust is an amazing charity, who have made an incredible difference in helping change lives for the better. Climbing Kilimanjaro and working in the projects, was a life changing experience for me and it will live on for the rest of my life. I feel richly blessed, that two of the children i met, are now part of my family through sponsorship.

My sincere thanks go to the Nasio Trust for such an amazing trip, who looked after me so well while out in Africa. My love and prayers are with the trust and all the children who are supported by them. I have never cried so many tears of joy, during this trip and look forward to working as a volunteer, in future years to come at the projects. I would say to anyone who was considering doing the climb, don’t delay, sign up, for the greatest challenge of your life. Don’t forget to visit the children, the memories will live on forever. The hospitality during the trip was incredible and I would like to say a special thanks to Jane. Who looked after us so well, during our stay in the projects. I thank God for his guidance and protection during the trip and leave with this text – i can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

It was by the grace and mercy of God that a tiny baby was found in the sugar cane plantation and i was so richly blessed to have been taken to the school to meet Moses. Nasio trust you are truly amazing! Keep up the great work! God bless and thank you again, for the fantastic experience. My thanks also goes out to Costas my new mountaineering partner who has become a special friend and also to the lovely family of six, sharing memorable times on the mountain and meals out together in Moshi, Nairobi and in the projects.
