Acclimatisation Day At Kili
Maximise your chances of a successful summit with an extra day spent at Kili before your climb officially begins. Ready yourself mentally and physically for the challenge!
We reccomend this acclimatisation experience as part of your rest day. It definitely helps to get over the jet lag!
The day begins with a hike up into the mountains to see stunning waterfalls via a unique excursion taking you through rich natural rainforest. Its an invaluable first opportunity to experience Tanzania at altitude, and most importantly to begin the process of adjustment your body needs to take in the challenge to come.
After lunch you’ll explore historical caves and an ancient Museum as part of a cultural visit, to understand the life and culture of the tribes that live around the mountain.
You also get the opportunity to meet and bond with your guide, prior to your climb.
Total cost for the day is £100, which is payable to the UK office prior to leaving the country.
